The Agritourism Villa Ulivello in Chianti
HISTORY, COMFORT AND A STRATEGIC POSITION
Villa Ulivello in Chianti is the agritourism of the Torraccia di Presura winery. The activity started in 2019, after a long and significant renovation on the historic Villa Ulivello, quite close to the winery.
The structure and furnishings have been kept faithful to the original style of the villa, which dates back to the early nineteenth century (but the bed frames and mattresses are new, hypoallergenic, to offer a comfortable and relaxing stay).
In addition to the rooms in the villa, two apartments have been created in the adjoining former farmhouse, for those who prefer to spend their holidays in larger accommodations with a greater independence, thanks to the presence of an equipped kitchen in both. The former farmhouse also houses the agritourism restaurant, where our guests can enjoy traditional Tuscan dishes made with first-choice, locally sourced ingredients, if not directly produced on the estate.
Breakfast service is available every morning at the restaurant, and, weather willing, also in the garden. Throughout most of the day, guests can participate in tastings of our products or they can relax with a glass of wine in such a rarely harmonious landscape. Villa Ulivello guests also have the opportunity to walk around the vast estate grounds and enjoy the Chianti countryside with its typical alternation of vineyards, olive groves, and forests. While exploring the surrounding lands, it is easy to encounter black grouse, hares, or roe deers, and sometimes even wild boars, porcupines, or badgers.
Our proximity to the highway is very convenient, with the exits of Firenze Sud and Firenze Impruneta only 6 km away. For those who wish to visit Florence, the agritourism’s proximity to the historic center of the Tuscan capital leaves tourists plenty of time to enjoy the city’s wonders or to relax. And
while Florence is also well connected to us by bus, those who have a car will find themselves in a strategic position to visit the most attractive locations in Tuscany. Towns such as Greve in Chianti, Panzano, or Impruneta with its historic kilns are just a few minutes drive away, while Siena and San Gimignano are less than an hour away. Pisa, Lucca, and Arezzo are all about an hour away from us, easily visitable on a day trip.
The surrounding area offers many opportunities for sports enthusiasts, for example the Ugolino golf course, one of the most important in Italy, various tennis courts, and many closeby swimming pools.
Horseback riding excursions or cooking classes can also be organized. Our staff will always be ready and available to suggest nearby facilities that best suit the needs of the guests to fully experience Tuscany and provide an unforgettable stay.
